I ended the weekend celebrating my 29th wedding anniversary.
A beautiful end of summer, almost fall day — 81 degrees!
It was hot and sunny.
I awoke early to embrace my morning.
We enjoyed a beautiful boat ride on the lake. It was calm and like glass.
We planned to go to our favourite winery on the way home.
We arrived at the winery and it was lightly raining.
The outdoor patio has lots of tables with large umbrellas.
To our surprise, they decided to close.
We checked the weather forecast and it was only going to rain for a few minutes and then be sunny again.
With disappointment, we decided to go across the road to another patio restaurant that we’ve always wanted to try.
It was open and the line behind us from the winery followed us!
The new patio restaurant welcomed us and had lots of tables with umbrellas and a spectacular view!
By the time we were seated the rain stopped, the sun came out and it was hot and delightful!
Moral of today’s blog: Things do happen for a reason! 💙
