Day 140 – Faith

Today, I made time in my schedule to attend my dear friend Michelle’s fathers funeral.

It brought me right back to my own dad’s funeral when I was a tender young 21 year old woman, who was really a girl missing her own dad.

I sat and embraced the service with a different perspective.

I was fully present.

I listened.

I didn’t think about what I was doing after or what I moved in order to attend. It really didn’t matter.

I listened to every lyric of each song.

I closed my eyes to listen to the priest and his words of Frank and the amazing life he led.

I observed friends and family and the sorrow and joy that was being held in their heart.

Age truly gives us perspective to what is really important.

It’s not likes, followers, websites, etc.

It’s truly the connection with another human being, be it family, friend, co-worker or colleague. 💙
