Day 362 – Visionary Leadership

As a leader, I am constantly listening, observing, and learning.

Today, I spent most of the morning attending the London Chamber of Commerce event, which was excellent. Thanks to Graham Henderson for his vision and leadership.

I got to hear from leaders in our city who shared strategic plans, alignment, hope, excitement, and a look into where we will be as a city in 4 years.

I left this event with hope and excitement as an entrepreneur in my city and a fellow resident of London, Ontario.

To see the level of leadership and alignment as “anchors” to each other was incredible. City of London: Lynne Livingstone gave a phenomenal overview of the city’s strategic plan. Linda (Slits) Nuhn was a great moderator and led an inviting panel discussion.

Fanshawe College: Peter J Devlin, LHSC: Jackie Schleifer Taylor, Western: Lynn Logan, FCPA, FCA, MBA, ICD.D and St. Joseph’s Health Center: Roy Butler also gave amazing overviews of their strategic plans and how well they work together, as well as a very engaging panel discussion.

It gave me a deeper sense of clarity for my own company’s vision, mission statement, and values.

What’s in your playbook?
